Minutes of Feb. 26, 2008 general meeting of EDIA

1. Treasury balance is $ 3,436.57.

2. Inspector Joe Cortes, recently assigned to Ingleside Station, introduced himself and answered questions about recent events in the Excelsior.

3. Presentation by Patty of developments concerning the Woolworth building site. (See article in March 2008 newsletter for details). Consensus has been reached. Sup. Sandoval's representative has indicated Sup. will support consensus decision.

4. Motion made and ratified unanimously confirming authority of Patty to negotiate on behalf of EDIA concerning the Woolworth building site development and ratifying the proposed consensus agreement as more fully described in the March 2008 newsletter .

5. Kelenia Olsen, new aide to Assemblywoman Fiona Ma introduced herself and indicated the willingness of the Assemblywoman to make herself available if requested by EDIA.

6. Excelsior Book Club announcement.

7. Announcement concerning ongoing Crocker Amazon Tile project. Project lauded and need and opportunity for more labor contributions mentioned. See article in March, 2008 newsletter.

8. Discussion of St. Luke's cutbacks and potential closing. Background presentation by Steve Currier. Opposition to cutbacks by OMRA and CSFN. Leo to draft letter for EDIA opposing reduction in services.

9. Leo testing waters to see if interest in bus trip for visit to State Capitol.

10. Next Executive Board meeting on March 8 at 4.
