Minutes of EDIA meeting July 22, 2008
1. Treaury Report. Bank balance $3,351.57.
2. Motions made and approved unanimously:
Payment of $ 94. for rental renewal of post office box for one year.
Payment for the rental of a table space at the Excelsior Festival on October 5 by
EDIA. Estimated cost $100 .
Payment of up to $ 75. for expenses to co-host the meeting of the Coalition of SF Neighborhoods, in Sept. or October.
3. Discussion concerning the rec/park and Housing Authority joint subcommittee meeting re: recycling center/garbage facility in McLaren Park. Concerns about lack of notice and outreach and opposition to substance of proposal. Most neighbors spoke in opposition at the meeting. Motion made and approved unanimously to oppose the current proposal and send letter stating our position.
4. Presentation by supervisorisal candidate Julio Ramos and question period.
5. Ingleside Police Report. More information about congdon st. shootings. Discussion about and criticism of response of City authorities to the shootings. Discussed possible neighborhood summit and other responses.
