Minutes of June 24, 2008 EDIA Meeting
1. Treasury report. Balance of $3,200. Sent $20. to State with SI10 Form. R. Katz is designated person for service of process on form. New fiscal year began June 1. Dues ($15) are due.
2. Attendees introduced themselves.
3. SFMTA Transit Effectiveness Project (TEP). Letters of support unanimously authorized, supporting proposals for improving the 52, 14, 49, and 28L lines and adding more security for 14, sent.
4. Installation of EDIA Executive Board for fiscal year 2008-2009.
5. Presentation on "Community Boards" by Heather Zacks. Focus on conflict resolution, provide a variety of services.
6. Presentation by Linda Hart and Linda D'Avirro concerning proposed recycling/garbage collection site in McLaren Park. Lack of outreach and notice to community. Joint opposition by various community groups. Motion made and passed unanimously to Park and Rec Commission opposing the proposed recycling center and lack of adequate notice.
7. Report by officers from Ingleside Station. Questions and extensive discussion about triple homicide that occurred on Congdon St. last weekend.
8.Announcements. St. Luke's status, update on meetings. Jerry Day will be August 3.
