Excelsior District Improvement Association Minutes March 22, 2011
Meeting called to order by President Jackie Cash at 7:09pm
Pledge to the Flag led by Sergeant at Arms John Consiglieri
Police report by Captain Louis Cassanego outlined vehicle/robberies/home burglary were still high; incidents of thief at City College mostly of electronics; gang tags noticed in Crocker Amazon area; any graffiti should be reported to 311 and removed immediately; on a positive note, Officer Justin Ocreto, school response officer in Visitation Valley was given a High rating; outstanding work which we appreciate.
Ms Jana Clark, City Attorney’s office, gave an update on the “Kragen” issued brought to her attention and updated progress on the smoke shops; cases are going well, but will take time, however, one shop has lost its lease.
Treasurer Mel Flores reported $2,728.82 in account; pay outs of $200 to Tony Sacco Fund and $45 to CSFN membership fees.
Parking Committee update by Vice President Patty DeVlieg: MTA hearing was moved to Friday, April 15th at 10am in Room 416 City Hall. Next committee meeting: Tuesday, March 29, at 6:30pm at Wei’s Hunan, 4345 Mission Street.

Covered CSFN by-law changes; election terms of office; revisit Park Merced plan by Planning Commission; proposed open space restrictions by GGNRA policy to leash dogs and impact on all open space areas, federal, state or local; CSFN voted to oppose until further study.
First reading of EDIA by-law changes.
